TMI believes in forming strong partnerships with organizations that serve to advance the way teachers teach and students learn.
Integrated Technology Group (ITG) is an international leader in technology integration, providing their clients with the highest quality of innovative IT solutions and support.
Recognizing the need for a more sophisticated, flexible and comprehensive e-learning solution, ITG created EduWave. EduWave was designed in such a way that it can be implemented at the school, district, state or country-wide level.
In 2003, TMI's partner company, P3, formed a strategic partnership with ITG for the purpose of distributing EduWave in the U.S. market. P3 has worked closely with ITG in order to ensure that EduWave meets and exceeds all the critical aspects of today's education challenges, mandates and requirements.
New Jersey Performance Assessment Alliance (NJPAA)
In 2003, an alliance of educational and business organizations, including the Department of Education, was formed to develop and evaluate valid and reliable performance-based assessments. These assessments were developed to compliment
traditional delivery mechanisms and standardized tests. In forming the alliance, the desire was to achieve multiple goals:
- To assure a balanced and broader approach in the state assessment system, including state administered standardized tests and district administered performance assessments, with equal weight given to each for state and federal reporting and accountability.
- To foster the use of instructional strategies that lead to increased student understanding of important skills, ideas and concepts included in the N.J. Core Curriculum Content Standards.
- To develop high quality performance assessments that are aligned with the N.J. Core Curriculum Content Standards in each of the content areas.
Since its inception in 2003, TMI has provided critical consulting services in the development and evaluation of prompts and project management. In its project manager role, TMI has made available its Student Management Assessment Information System ("SMaIS") for the distribution of prompts, collection of critical NJSMART data and overall reporting of data by multiple categories such as grade level, gender, race and geographical location.
The project is now entering its third year and currently has 65 school districts voluntarily participating; but more are always welcome.
