Strategic Planning

This is a disciplined effort to produce fundamental decisions and actions that define, shape and guide a school / school district. Strategic planning decisions are typically organized around the district's mission, vision, policies, procedures, finances and organizational design. The process is specifically designed for each school/school districts in a collaborative manner and supported through ongoing consultation and support.

Curriculum Evaluation, Design and Mapping

Experienced facilitation is provided in the creation of a curriculum map that is representative of the curricula being addressed in district schools. The curriculum map, while providing a detailed view of what is being taught and when, will also ensure that district, state and national standards are addressed. It ensures that students are given every chance for success when they are assessed - on standardized tests or in the real world.

Leadership and Mentoring

The building of capacity in administrative and teacher leadership is facilitated through the guidance of experienced educators. A structured approach to creating leaders through mentoring is provided through a strategic process that provides support and assesses teaching skills. The multiple and ongoing duties of the teacher mentor and the developmental stages of the mentor and beginning teacher relationship are formally addressed and monitored.

Technology Planning and Integration

The primary focus is on the improvement of student achievement through the appropriate and seamless integration of technology throughout the school / school district. The steps in this process are determined by the unique needs of the school district and are aligned with the local, state and federal mandates. The appropriate use of the International Standards for administrators, teachers and students are also addressed in a structured manner.

Data Driven Decision Making

Data driven decision making includes the utilization of classroom and large-scale assessments that are organized around the primary purpose of increasing student learning. Guidance is provided in the development of assessment programs that effectively measure progress in the achievement of core curriculum content standards. The exemplary assessment system achieves such in a manner that fosters the students' abilities to apply their knowledge, skills, and understanding in authentic contexts. This approach will, in turn, improve the decision making process and drive changes in instructional practices that promote more performance-based, relevant and meaningful learning.
