Target Student Achievement and Raise Test Scores

Educators today face ongoing challenges in improving student achievement, especially in reading and mathematics. Unfortunately, one contributing challenge is not having the ability to access a single source for all your school improvement needs.

That is why TMI has created the comprehensive, all inclusive, A.I.M.TM Solution. The A.I.M. Solution is a suite of offerings combining all the critical components to your school improvement needs, with a focus in the areas of reading and mathematics.

The A.I.M. Solution offerings Include:

  • Consultation and Program Planning
  • Assessment and Instructional Resources (GRADE & G*MADE)
  • Professional Development
  • Web-based Student Management Assessement Information System

It has been said that " the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." This is especially true of the A.I.M. Solution.

Too often a piecemeal approach to assessment and instructional design is applied. Outstanding diagnostic assessments, like GRADE and G*MADE, are much more effective when combined with appropriate planning and professional development for the teachers who will be learning a great deal about the needs of their students through the skillful use of assessment and instructional resources.

The A.I.M. Solution can be easily customized to satisfy your individual and school needs and is aligned to NCLB and State Instruction and Program/Personnel Quality Indicators.

To customize the A.I.M. Solution for your specific needs, we offer a FREE planning session during which we listen to what your total individual and school needs are and work with you to design an effective A.I.M. Solution Action Plan.

Within the Action Plan we will help evaluate and consider all the critical components of the A.I.M. Solution:

Consultation and Program Planning: This component includes curriculum audits, curriculum mapping, school community surveys, needs assessments and program implementation plan. All compliment the information from the federal and state indicators.

Professional Development: Relevant and job embedded professional development is an essential factor that leads to student success. Our professional development series offers workshops on The Reading Brain?Unnatural Connections, strategic planning, assessment and evaluation, curriculum, teaching and learning, technology planning and integration.

Assessment and Instructional Resources: Reading and math assessment are valuable parts of your school's improvement plan. Group Reading Assessment and Diagnostic Evaluation (GRADE) and the Group Mathematics Assessment and Diagnostic Evaluation (G*MADE) allow you to get individual diagnostic results from a group assessment.

We believe that no assessments are better than GRADE and G*MADE for providing formative and summative information that help monitor adequate yearly progress. The tests provide accurate, easy-to-read results at the individual, class, and school levels and are easy to administer, score, and report. Your results tie directly to state and national goals set for schools. Best of all, the GRADE and G*MADE are also affordably priced. That's getting the most with your school improvement funds!

GRADE

The GRADE delivers reliable reading diagnostics for individual students, and can be given in a group or classroom setting. Each of the 11 levels gives you diagnostic analysis, including correlated, reproducible intervention materials. Parallel pre- and post-testing with consistent scoring let you track your students as their skills develop during the school year and beyond.

G*MADE

The G*MADE gives you clear, accurate information about your students' skills in core areas of mathematics. Like the GRADE and G*MADE offers individual results, whether you administer it individually or in a group or classroom setting. Correlated materials are available for each of the 9 levels of G*MADE to provide a direct link to effective intervention. Fall and spring norms, plus parallel forms for each test level make this test ideal for tracking student progress throughout the school year.

Web-based Student Management Assessment Information System (SMAIS)

TMI provides The Student Management Assessment Information System (SMAIS) that allows educators to easily and efficiently organize, analyze and report on student performance data.

SMAIS, is a comprehensive web-based data management system, which is integral to the AIM solution. SMAIS serves to support and promote the consistent application of formative assessment and evidence-based decision making in instructional practice.

TMI is currently supporting the New Jersey Performance Assessment Alliance project and its 65 participating school districts with the SMAIS sysem.
