This seminar is presented in partnership with The Record newspaper. The seminar opens with a brief presentation of the Smart Teacher Award for Bergen and Passaic County Teachers, sponsored by The Record. Registration and breakfast 8:00 - 8:30am. This seminar will offer insight into how branding yourself within an authentic-learning environment will help you effectively engage your students in a more empowering learning environment. Everybody has their own brand! Teachers brand themselves everyday in the classroom. In fact, personal branding concepts are an integral part of mainstream communication in today's rapidly changing world. But beyond Facebook and Myspace, what is branding really about? In this case YOU are the product being branded. Branding yourself is not a selfish endeavor. Rather, branding yourself is about creating trust, striking emotional chords and building loyalty with your students, their parents and your peers. In addition, branding is about building relationships, broadening horizons, expanding networks and empowering growth both individually and across the community you serve.
